Smelted is a full-stack mining analytics platform for multi-protocol blockchain mining on Solana. Whether you are deploying SOL manually or running an automated strategy, Smelted gives you the tools to mine smarter across the ORE, GODL, and ZORB protocols.
What is Smelted?
Smelted connects to the Solana blockchain and provides a unified interface for participating in proof-of-work mining protocols. Each protocol runs rounds where miners deploy SOL to tiles on a 5x5 grid. A winning tile is selected on-chain, and miners who deployed to that tile earn rewards in both SOL and the protocol's native token.
The platform handles everything from wallet management and transaction signing to real-time round monitoring and historical analytics. You can mine manually by selecting tiles yourself, or enable the AutoMiner to deploy automatically using mathematically-grounded strategies like the Kelly Criterion.

How Mining Works
Mining on Smelted follows a straightforward cycle that repeats every round:
- A new round begins — the protocol opens a fresh 5x5 grid of 25 tiles.
- Miners deploy SOL — you choose one or more tiles and deploy SOL to them. The more SOL on a tile, the higher the competition for that tile's reward share.
- The round closes — after the round timer expires, the protocol determines the winning tile on-chain by XOR-ing values from the Solana slot hash and taking the result modulo 25.
- Rewards are distributed — miners who deployed to the winning tile receive rewards proportional to their share of the tile's total deployment. Rewards are paid in both SOL and the protocol's native token.
Supported Protocols
Smelted currently supports three Solana mining protocols, each with its own token and reward mechanics:
- ORE — The original mining protocol. Variable token rewards with a 10.9% protocol cut. Full AutoMiner and analytics support.
- GODL — A fork of ORE with pooled mining, a +10 GODL per round base reward, and a 10% protocol cut. Full AutoMiner and analytics support.
- ZORB — A fork of ORE with a 4 ORB per round base reward and 10% protocol cut. Analytics-only (AutoMiner was removed in February 2025).
